Arsenal travelled to Pride park knowing only a win would keep them in the title race mathematicaly, and Derby already relegated were playing for pride, Arsenal started like this

                Fabianski

-Toure-    -Song-    -Gallas-       -Clichy-

-Eboue-  -Fabregas-  -Denilson-   -Walcott-

           -Van Persie-  -Bendtner- .

                                                                   First half

Arsenal started brightly on the zippy Pride park surface due to the earlier rain, with neat slick passing into feet, In the 3rd minute Bendtner swung in a cross with his left foot and it fell to Eboue in mid air and he tried a scissors kick that went over the bar, but a few minutes later Derby’s Sterjovski fired in a shot the ball took a heavy deflection of Song which nearly went into the net but trickled wide, Then what was almost a formality Arsenal scored a bad mistake by veteran Darren Moore past it straight to our featured player Nicklas Bendtner and he played a beautiful one two with Van Persie then the Dane finished expertly for his 8th of the season, 1-0 to the Arsenal the Arsenal fans sang.

Derby were now feeling the pressure, and Arsenal were looking for that second, but against all odds in the 30th minute Derby equalised Robbie Savage swung in a dangerous cross, and Arsenal failed to clear the ball fell to Mclevely and he stabbed it in, it was 1-1, Arsenal now was again taking the game to Derby and in the 39th minute got their rewards again Toure playing a lovely lofted pass into Dutchman Robin Van Persie and he chested down wonderfully and powered home a goal into the roof of the net to give the gooners a 2-1 lead, that was to be Van Persie last action of the game he was substituted at half time due to an injury.

                                                             Half Time.

Arsenal started the second half well, and was looking for that killer 3rd goal, after a few chances Toure firing over a rokcet from the edge of the area, and Adebayor forcing a save from Roy Carroll at his near post, the third goal came in the 59th min Walcott showing great pace and skill to get to the byline and cross it back for Eboue who seemed 2 lose his balance and get no connection onto the ball the ball fell to Adebayor who was 4 yards out who tapped home, 3-1 to Arsenal now surely it was game over.

Benny Feilhaber then tested Fabianski but the Pole made a good low stop and showed good reflexes to get up and smother the second ball, in the 76th minute Earnshaw was put through he took it in his stride and opened up his body to make it 3-2 Derby fans sensed a way back in the game, Arsenal thought overwise! less than a minute and a half later Theo Walcott ran into the area cut inside and curled a beautiful shot into the corner of the net it was 4-2 and Derby’s hopes of some points were dashed.

On the 80th minute, Bendtner played a defence splitting pass through to Clichy and he played it in for Emmanuel Adebayor who slotted home hes 2nd of the night and Arsenal’s 5th goal of the night , 2-5 to the gunners, then in the last few minutes Cesc Fabregas doing what he does best playing a perfect defence splitting through ball to Adebayor who finished expertly after rounding Carroll, it was 6-2 in the end a very comfortable win for the gunners.

                                                           Full Time

Our featured player Nicklas Bendtner was amazing tonight playing a part in a goal and scoring, and put in a man of the match performance, like i said if he starts more he can prove his worth he done it against Liverpool and done it again tonight. great performance great win come on you gunners !!

Bendtner Likely To Stay

Posted in Uncategorized on April 22, 2008 by matthew789

Arsene Wenger and Nicklas Bendtner have gave the biggest indication yet that Nicklas Bendtner himself will be here at Arsenal next season,

Wenger said.

“I feel as well some young players have made big progress and next year they will be better players,” he said.
“Players like Bendtner, who has already made progress from the start of the season. Next year you can consider him a real striker.”
Also Nicklas Bendtner has said in a recent interview with Arsenal TV Online that alot of people see him in the wrong way like as a target man, and that Arsenal fans will hopefully see more off him with the ball on the floor rather than in the air because Bendtner normally comes on for the last 20-10 minutes when we get desperate and start doing high long balls up to him, what he is trying to say is that he hopefully gets more minutes to show another side of his game that the fans havent seen.
I know Nicklas can play on the deck because his proved it in certain games i’ve seen him play when he was young in the reserves most of his goals was on the floor and at Birmingham City where he scored a few goals and in particular a great solo effort against Leeds which you can find in our Videos section and also clips from Reserves team action in 2006, so it looks like Nicklas is staying with us which is great news hopefully Wenger can turn into him into a World Class striker which he has got the potential to become.

Nick your coming towards the end of your debut season with the first team squad how do you look back on it ?

I look back on it not the best way obviously we played some good football and we have progressed which is a positive thing but we wanted to win trophies this season and its not looking like thats going to happen on 1 way it looks good because we have proggressed as a team and on the other hand a bit dissapointed that we havent won a trophy, we got to go for the silverware now, you know you can play good as anything and everyone can praise you but at the end of the day its all about medals isn’t it thats all that we want to win and sometimes it doesnt matter how good you play but it is always good that you keep progressing.

We’ll come to team matters in a minute lets start with you, where do you think you have improved as a player?

i think overall everything i have done is progressed, my defending and my tactical awarness alot of things has improved for me.

You made 14 starts in all competitions and 22 sub appearances, and scored 7 goals u happy with that?

it sounds alright yh, obviously you wanna score a few more, but as long as u can help the team thats all that matters but so far i think its been ok, i have scored in every competition for Arsenal which i am quite happy with, so i’m pleased.

Perhaps Arsene Wenger has been using you as a impact player surely the aim next season is to start more ?

Yeah, Yeah definately its always my target to be a regular in every squad i’m in, if im not then its not gunna change so hopefully next season i can show him even more and prove to him he can use me more as a regular.

7 goals as we say and it must be annoying despite all that people still talk about the one you stopped going in the champions league against liverpool, talk us through that and the reaction to that thats been incredible hasnt it?

Yeah, alot of people have spoke about it but you know what i don’t really care to be honest its not in any of my worries i tried to get out of the way and it happened so quickly and in football it happens u know you can stop one goal but on the other hand we could have scored a few more in that game so there is always something else you could have done but its a matter of fact what happened, happened and people have got to move on but if they wanna write about it then they can do that for me it is ok.

Alot of your key goals have been in the air thats not really a suprise i suppose but do you want more of a balance between goals on the floor and goals in the air?

Yeah definately, i think alot of people see me in the wrong way here, i dont know why maybe it is because i havent played that much and everytime i come on we tend to get balls in the box, so maybe thats why they dont see enough of me, but if you look at the way we play with the international team we dont even play the balls in the air so im definately sure that people are gunna see more of me net year and know what it’s all about.

Your goal record for Denmark is great its virtually 1 goal every 2 games its fantastic and if you are playing football on the floor this shows you can do it here

Yeah exactly, Dribbling, Shooting stuff like this you dont see that, that much because obviously you havent played full games you dont have that regular thing going, so when i come on late on as i said they try and find me with high, long balls but its ok however way i’ll play but i just know i can do more.

How tough was Old Trafford last weekend the team lost they appeared to be unlucky and won of the examples of that is when you hit the post in the last few minutes?

Yeah it was really unlucky game you know we hit the post, they could have scored an own goal, but they had their chances you know, i thought Jens had a fantastic game for us he saved a few shots for us, and it seemed it could go either way, but then they got a penalty and a free kick and they ran away with it in the end and we felt really unlucky because we gave everything.

How important isit for Arsenal to respond in the right way for these last four games in the season?

Yeah it is very important we want to win the last four games and show everyone we are strong for next year.

Arsenal - Reading Match Preview

Posted in Uncategorized on April 18, 2008 by matthew789

Arsenal face Reading tomorrow in an early 12:45 kick off at the Emirates Stadium, this is an important game for both teams in different cases, Arsenal will look to bounce back from their recent dip in form where they have dropped points at the crucial stage, Now that Arsenal are out of the title race Arsene Wenger will look to go as they mean for next season and win their remaining games to send out a message for next season, As for Reading they are battling for their lives to stay up and will give everything in this game so Arsenal have to be wary of the threat Reading pose.

On the injury front for Arsenal Justin Hoyte, Sagna, Flamini, Rosicky, and Almunia  are out for the visit of Reading, Diaby serves his final game for suspension, The injury news for Reading is that Glenn Little could make his first start for over a year no other injury news for Reading.

Our featured player Nicklas Bendtner is likely to be on the bench, i personally think he deserves a start along with other substitutes to prove a point for next season, most of Nicklas’s appearances this season has been from coming off the bench for the last 20 minutes, 30 minutes and he has impressed, again he impressed on Sunday he came on and showed an urgency and nearly scored with two headers but Van der Saar clawed both efforts away , hopefully he along with other squad members can get a few games for the rest of the season to prove they are ready for first team regular action.

my prediction: Arsenal 4-0 Reading, Hopefully we can send out a message for next season, i really hope Nicklas can play a full 90 mins.

Likely team:

                         -Lehmann-

-Eboue-       -Toure-   -Gallas-   -Clichy-

-Walcott-     -Gilberto- -Fabregas-  -Hleb-

               -Van Persie- -Adebayor-

Bendtner To Stay Or Go?

Posted in Uncategorized on April 10, 2008 by matthew789

As many know in the summer alot of players come and go, Nicklas Bendtner has impressed when he has got his chance this season at Arsenal after coming back from his loan spell at Birmingham City where he scored 11 goals in the Coca Cola Championship and 2 goals in cup competitions, 13 overall and was a big part in their promotion to the premiership.

Nicklas has been linked with many clubs including AC Milan, Birmingham, Chelsea, Lyon, and Real Madrid. In pre season he signed a mega 5 year deal to fend off any intrest from Europe’s elite so i think Wenger wouldnt have gave him such a long deal if he wasn’t in the long term plans, Bendtner has scored 7 goals this season and chipped in with quite alot of assists he has not started alot this season and made alot of substitute appearances.

Nicklas has stated lots of times that he is willing to fight for a place in the starting line up, but he has also said he wants more starts, it must of been hard for him coming from a then Championship side Birmingham starting every week and been the spearhead of their attack then coming back to Arsenal and been on the bench but he is at a massive club now and has loads of world class players around him so he knew he would have alot of competitiveness around him for the starting spot.

I hope he stays because he has a great future ahead of him , he is a very good player and has the chance to become a world class player and a legend if he stays he has scored crucial goals this season against arch rivals Tottenham, also a last minute equaliser against Aston Villa, and another equaliser against Liverpool, I sincerely hope he stays with us, So people what do you think will happen with Nicklas Bendtner this coming summer will he stay or go ?  Leave a comment below.

Bendtner - We Have Enough Goals In Us

Posted in Uncategorized on April 7, 2008 by matthew789

Our featured player Nicklas Bendtner has spoke about Arsenal’s crucial game tomorrow against Liverpool in the Uefa Champions League he believes Arsenal have enough goals in us to get an away goal tomorrow in the hostile atmosphere at Anfield. The quarter final tomorrow will be the third match between the two in the space of seven days, And Bendtner has said . . .

I don’t think we have many goalless draws at this Club,” said the former Copenhagen player. “They will have their game plan and we will have ours. But we always score and get our chances.

“[In these two games] they have frustrated us but with the way we can play and the chances we have created, we could have won them both. On Saturday it could have been 2-1 or 3-1 to us quite easily. We just have to put away our chances.”

“Yes, it was nice to score and get back a little bit from what happened on Wednesday when I got a bit stuck,” he said

“I don’t know whether I owe the team or not. I do everything I can whenever I play. I just got a bit stuck that night - I was trying to get out of the way but it came so quickly I didn’t have time to think.”

“We went to Anfield before this season and everyone was telling me before that game how great a place it can be to play in,” said Bendtner. “I came on and it was very nice. The atmosphere was fantastic. I expect the same on Tuesday but we have to deal with it and win the game. As a player, you always want to produce and in a big game even more so. It certainly should be a good one to watch.”
