                                                       First half

Arsenal started brightly and Walcott was looking lively down the left hand side, in the 5th minute Kolo Toure created the first chance he cross for Bendtner but the ball was just a bit to high, Arsenal were passing it around neatly but Everton was giving them little space, in the 14th minute Walcott played a one-two with Bendtner and tried to curl a shot on the edge of the area into the far corner but the ball drifted wide. Bendtner then picked up the ball on the edge of the area and showed great vision to spot Gilberto making a run into the box but Gilberto’s header just crept wide.

A few minutes later Everton broke away Manuel Fernandes flicking a through ball to the pacey Andy Johnson, he raced into the area but Fabianski got down well and saved the ball it rebounded away to Alexandre Song who cleared for a corner, from that resulting corner for Everton the ball was whipped in and Joleon Lescott met the ball in the air but Denilson was on hand to clear the ball off the line, Arsenal finished the half brightly and nearly scored when Eboue found himself in the area but his cross come shot was deflected out for a corner.

With them two substitutions made Arsenal was looking for the win, Armand Traore was looking bright and was showing good pace down the left, in the 77th minute the goal came from that man again, Nicklas Bendtner :D, he passed the ball out wide to Traore who whipped in a dangerous ball and Bendtner rose highest to meet the ball with an absolute bullet header which almost ripped the net, the Emirates erupted 1-0 to the gunners, Everton then brought on Yakubu and Anichebe to try and force an equaliser it was not gunna come as Arsenal’s back four looked solid it was a good result for Arsenal who look to press Chelsea right down to the wire for 2nd place, Our featured player Nicklas Bendtner scored hes 9th goal of the season and celebrated that by picking up the Barclays Premiership man of the match award.
