Denmark Held To Draw In Bulgaria + Bendtner Scores 21st Goal For Denmark See Goal Here

Denmark only could manage a draw in Bulgaria, in a match dominated by the away side. Bulgaria took the lead against the run of play in the first half but Denmark continued to pop the ball about after going a goal down and got their equalizer just before the interval, Krohn-Dehli crossing from the left to find featured player Nicklas Bendtner at the back post to head in. The second half was more of the same really, with Bulgaria down to 10 men, Denmark where looking for them gaps in the park to exploit by stretching Bulgaria with some nice ball retention but couldn’t find the breakthrough it ended 1-1 in this World Cup 2014 Qualifier.

Bendtner has now hit 21 goals for his native Denmark, despite the Danes dominating possesion in this game he didnt see so much of the ball as maybe he would have liked as he was closely marked all night even whenhe came deep. The Danes take on Italy on Tuesday Evening for another World Cup Qualifier its sure could be a great encounter.
