New Sunderland manager, Martin O’Neill has his new team in fine form. Sunderland suprised everyone with a 1-0 win over league leaders – Manchester City last Sunday. Sunderland repeated the trick in tough conditions at the D.W stadium on Tuesday evening over Wigan 1-4.

Featured player Nicklas Bendtner got an assist for the third goal with a good low accurate cross, it was a quiet game for him in a role where he had to play the lone role upfront.

Nothing seems to be going so right for Sunderland at the moment, The Mackems created several chances before going down to a 1-2 loss in stoppage time from a miscommunication from the defender and the keeper. Featured player Nicklas Bendtner is still finding his feet in his new club, on his 10th appearance, He had a relatively quiet game yesterday, but played a part in Sunderland’s first goal cutting back onto his right foot, before smashing a low effort that bounced up towards Al-Habsi, who fumbled it and it fell to Swedish midfielder Sebastian Larsson who smashed it in from close range. Wigan Athletic’s lively winger Victor Moses dropped his shoulder and got into the box before taking a drop he was deemed to be tripped by Seb Larsson, but replays showed there was minimum contact, if any and Jordi Gomez tucked home the penalty just before the break to give the Latics the momentum into the 2nd period.

The second half was more of the same from Sunderland, players working overtime to get 3 points to get out of the lower sides of the Barclays Premier League. N.B-52 was coming deep quiet abit, but ocasionally the Mackems’ midfield were struggling to find him. With 4 minutes time added on after the 90 mins, it looked if any team was gunna take the spoils it would be Sunderland, but suddenly Gohouri of Wigan cleared his lines with a long high clearance deep into the Sunderland half which Wes Brown firstly looked like he dealt with well at first but when he got the ball back from Westwood he took a loose touch, Wigan capitalised from this error and squared for Franco Di Santo who tapped in, it would be the decisive kick of the game as boo’s and jeers rang unfortunately around the Stadium Of Light @ the final whistle.

Nicklas Bendtner Continues World-Class International Form With Another Goal For Denmark As They Scrape Past Finland See Goal Here Video*

Nicklas Bendtner is showing some frightening form for his International side Denmark at present, In a poor first half for the Dane’s the game had a typical friendly feeling to the game, with both sides not in top gear and happy just to keep ball at times. N.B didn’t really get that much involved in the first half and was having a quiet game, but was willing to come deep and link play with the attacking midfielders of Denmark.

The starting XI had alot of changes and at times it looked as though the Dane’s where lacking some creativity and pace on the wings, with C-Eriksen and Dennis Rommedahl both not starting. The Finns’ took a shock lead on the 18 minute, Denmark got caught overplaying in their own half and it was one pass too many as Michael Krohn-Dehli gave a ball away inside his own half and as Lindegaard saved the rebound fell straight to Eremenko who side-footed in. It was like this going into the half time break.

A Two goal salvo, Firstly, from a set piece, L-Schone swinging in a dangerous cross before Liverpool centre half, captain on the night Daniel Agger, finished nicely. Then Mikkelsen capitalised on a Finnish mistake, and spotted Bendtner. Featured player N.B-52 still had alot to do but took 3 important touches 1 to race away from the Finland defence showing nice turn of pace, the second to steady himself and take aim and he found a gap low n hard past the keeper. Some were quick to have criticsized N.B, Personally from seeing him play in the Arsenal reserves side in 2005, you could see what he was all about, he was always tall but not your typical tall striker, he had the touch and technique and a decent turn of pace, some questioned the work rate but he scored 22 goals in 27 games in the Reserve League South and getting many assists along the way for poacher – Arturo Lupoli. Some may forget how young Nicklas is, the guy is still only 23 yrs old and has done alot on the International stage, scoring in a World Cup already against Cameroon and hitting a Uefa Champions League Hat-trick for The Gunners’. I’d say there is still alot more to come from the Danish forward.

Nicklas Bendtner will start against Finland this evening @ the Blue Water Arena in Esbjerg, Denmark. Its the last International game for a while before the EURO 2012′ in the summer, so players will be eager to put on a show. N.B-52 has been in world-class form for Denmark, fresh from their Qualification for EURO 2012′, he’s scored 4 goals in as many games, against the likes of Portugal & Sweden and a brace against Norway, also grabbing an assist from D.Rommedahl against Cyprus.

Denmark Beat Sweden 2-0 With N.B-52 Bagging His 16th International Goal For The Danes N.B-52′s Goal Here

Even though tonights game was a International Friendly, It was never gunna be a friendly with all the pre-match hype, Denmark and Sweden have obviously got a big history + rivalry both from being from Scandinavia. Nicklas Bendtner had hit 3 goals and an assist in his last 3 games for Denmark, so he was on fire going into tonight’s game.

Personally, I look at it as only the top players come alive in international football, it’s the biggest achievement you can ask for to play for your country and score. The game started quickly, as per usual for a derby, with both sides fizzing it around well. Both Denmark full back’s, S.B Poulsen and Lars Jacobsen, where helping in attack overlapping on every occassion and willing to take their man on and get crosses in. Nicklas Bendtner was ocasionally dropping out to the left, where he moved infield with some lovely close control and dribbling. The first goal came 10 minutes before the break, Yep!, you guessed it, Nicklas Bendtner hit his 4 goal in 4 games, it would be quiet tricky to find an international striker around at the moment in better form at the moment. Zimling chipping a lovely weighted pass down the line, Right-back Lars Jacobsen again crossing accurately, the Swedish defence seemed focused on Daniel Agger with him attacking the near post, Nicklas Bendtner came in at the far post and took a awkward bounce really well, before calmly slotting home with a sidefoot finish, it was NB’s 16th International goal for Denmark.

Sweden went up the other end just moment later, with Zlatan Ibrahmovic, he showed great feet, before firing over Sorensen’s net. Kvist then picked out Bendtner again, before he beat 2 defenders in one move inside the box, it was a lovely bit of trickery but the referee thought it was a dive, but the replay’s showed there was contact there. It was 1-0 to Denmark going into the half-time break. Both teams came out fired up in the second half, with both sides creating some half chances. Sweden were marking Danish whizkid Christian Eriksen very tightly and he was struggling to have his usual influence on the game. The game fizzled out with masses of substitutions been made for both sides in the 2nd period, as per usual in a International Friendly. Featured player Nicklas Bendtner, was replaced on the 72nd minute, to a standing ovation from the crowd in Copenhagen. Denmark got their second goal with a counter attack with 10 mins to go, Substitute Schone picking out a nice pass with the outside of the foot to Lars Jacobsen, who got his second assist of the night, squaring for Krohn-Dehli who finished neatly with the left peg with the keeper coming out.

Denmark and Sweden meet again on Friday night in an International Friendly Match, the two Scandinavian rivals met last time in late 09′ for the World Cup South Africa 10′ Qualifiers, in a decider to see who will qualify out of the group. Denmark came out victorious that night, with Bendtner squaring it to Jakob Poulsen, who hit a hard low powerful shot past the keeper from 20 yards, Which saw them qualify.

N.B-52 as an Arsenal youngster was seen in a similar mould to the tall Swedish forward, a good touch and great technique ability on the ball despite being tall and strong. The two will go head to head on Friday but Bendtner very much respects his opponent.

Zlatan is a great player, something I’ve said many times before. Somehow we’re also the same size. It’s not because I regard him as a role model,I have never had any actual role models, I can certainly learn something from Zlatan. He has won many trophies have been in many different clubs and done well in them all. That I am not thinking about. I always try to play up to my best, no matter who I play against. I think all footballers do.

If we win, we have beaten Norway and Sweden recently, and Finland are the next. So we have to be the best in Scandinavia.

N.B-52 Gets The 90 Mins But The Mackems’ Go Down To A Narrow Defeat To Man United

Featured player Nicklas Bendtner played the 90 minutes as Sunderland put on a brave performance at Old Trafford this afternoon against Manchester United. Sunderland set out in a 4-4-2 counter-attacking system against Man-U with N.B-52 and Connor Wickham upfront but the later was stretchered off early on due to a injury replaced by Ji Dong Won.

Nicklas Bendtner showed some neat touches throughout, coming deep and linking play when Sunderland had chances to counter-attack, linking up well with the Mackems’ midfield. N.B-52 nearly grabbed a shock lead for Sunderland early on, recieving a 35 yard pass from the right back, before trapping it well on his chest & turning, before driving at the United backline, he fired a side-footed effort low to Danish compatriot Anders Lindegaard’s right but the keeper got down well to save. Man-U had some possesion early on and were looking to get Wayne Rooney on the ball as much as possible, Rooney was playing in a central midfield role as a playmaker and was spraying some nice passes at times out to Nani and overlapping full-back Phil Jones.

Man-U’s crowd were getting slightly nervous, and you could tell at times as play was broke up by Sunderland’s rugged defensive midfielder Lee Cattermole. Man United took the lead from a set piece minutes from the Half-time break, Nani lofted in a corner and Danny Welbeck got accross his marker and got a flick to it but the final touch defelcted off of Wes Brown and it was 1-0 to Man Utd. It stayed like that going into the interval, Man United were somewhat lucky to be ahead.

In the second half Sunderland grew into the game abit more and maybe realised there was a possibility of getting something out of the game, pressing high up the pitch. Ji Dong won beat Evra to the ball before firing over, Wayne Rooney then had a chance firing it at Westwood who parried it then fell to Patrice Evra who got his shot away but Westwood tipped it wide it was a brilliant double save by the keeper to keep it @ 1-0 to the hosts.

N.B-52 collected the ball deep in his own half before jinking past Rooney, before being slided down by the England marksman. Sunderland were looking to profit on the link up between Bendtner and Seb Larsson and it nearly paid off with 10 minutes or so to go, Seb Larsson fired a low cross at pace accross Lindegaard’s goal Bendtner threw himself towards it but was just inches away from reaching it, it seemed a goal was coming for either side in the next few minutes.

It was to stay Man United 1-0 Sunderland, but it was a brave effort from the Mackems’,

N.B-52 Report: Nicklas was a threat all afternoon for Vidic and Ferdinand, coming deep to collect the ball and ready to recieve difficult passes by bringing it down and trapping it with some lovely first touches n’ run at the United backline. Along with Seb Larsson, he looked like one of the Mackems’ most dangerous players with some creative play, He tried to make things happen but today but it wasn’t to be.

Nicklas Bendtner has been in fine form for club and country, with assist and goals whilst representing both, N.B-52 has been put out on loan to the North-East of England to the Stadium Of Light, Sunderland, who have had an indifferent start to the season.

Denmark face Sweden on 11th November @ the Parken stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It will sure be a close encounter with some great players all around the park Nicklas Bendtner, Krohn-Dehli, Eriksen and Simon Kjaer for the Dane’s. Sweden have some interesting players to though in the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sebastian Larsson and Kallstrom. Last time the two sides met in South Africa World Cup qualifiying Denmark came out on top in a tight match it finished 1-0 with a goal from tenacious midfielder Jakob Poulsen to book Denmark a ticket into South Africa.

Nicklas Bendtner from early in his career has been blessed with great technique, good feet and good mobility despite being a tall guy. Another guy that is well known throughout World football, with a similar playing style Zlatan Ibrahimovic, will be playing in this fixture and it will be an interesting battle. Sunderland got their first win of the season this afternoon, beating Bolton Wanderers at The Reebok Stadium. Two late goals was enough for the Mackems’ with Sessegnon turning sharply in the box before firing hard and low and he then setup featured player Nicklas Bendtner on the left side, before N.B-52 finished it neatly to the keepers right hand side, It Is N.B-52′s 2nd Barclays Premiership goal so far, and he has 3 assists to his name in just 5 Premier League games now. Seb Larsson On N.B-52 + Bendtner Top 20 Assists Video

The two Scandinavian’s ( N.B-52 + Seb Larsson) were both arguably their countries pin up hero’s last week, with featured player Nicklas Bendtner getting the winner and his 15th International goal for Denmark to send them top of their group ahead of an strong Portugal side boasting the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luiz Nani and R.Meireles. Seb Larsson who scored a stunning free kick on the weekend also is probably a national hero at the minute scoring twice in two games in the qualifiers to send Sweden a ticket through to the Euro 12′ in Poland/Ukraine.

Nicklas Bendtner and Seb Larsson have played alot of football with eachother throughout their careers, firstly in the Arsenal reserves, they’ve always have had a good understanding of eachothers game and have a good link up. Larsson has spoken on the parternership and about how they’ve re-united @ the Stadium Of Light, Sunderland.

Nicklas was there at Arsenal, but was younger than me,” said Larsson. He has matured over the years. He has learned what he is best at and has been brilliant since he came to us. He is always a confident lad, and has the ability to back it up as well. He has confidence in a good way. He is one of the lads. He is not shy and as soon as he came in, he was joking with the lads.
