Bendtner set for starting role against Blackburn

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is expected to start in tomrrow’s Premier League clash with Blackburn Rovers at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

The 21-year-old started in the marvellous victory over Roma on Wednesday in an unfamiliar left midfield role and while Bendtner didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet, he looked like one of Arsenal’s most dangerous players in possession at times with direct dribbling and good link up play.

More team news has come in, with the unfortunate Eduardo da Silva picking up a groin injury which rules him out of the game in north London tomorrow.

Bendtner will look to gain added experience from a start in his familiar centre forward role, with more playing time under his belt and throw in his already-impressive goal tally which is at 11 goals in all competitions.

Nicklas Bendtner News’ Predicted Starting XI

Sagna – Toure (C) – Gallas – Clichy
Walcott – Denilson – Nasri
Bendtner – Van Persie

  1. bendter played well the ova nite, i reckon he will score againsyt blackburn 2moz

  2. Oh my god Bendtner is f*cking rubbish. I just watched him against Blackburn and he missed a host of easy chances that were created for him. Please Arsene, stop playing this piece of cr*p and sell him to Tottenham

  3. No Gooner D, Bendtner is not rubbish, he shouldv’e put them chances away yes but i think his overall game was good and he linked up with Theo Walcott quite well today.

  4. I think he played well just he missed a lot of ball. Nope! Why must Arsene sells him to Spurs ? I hope that he will stay at Arsenal as long as he can!

  5. I think it’s really a bit of Arsenal fans fault really. Yeah he should have probably scored one at least yesterday. But there is no doubt he has a lot of pressure on him from the home fans. Once or twice it was clear he desperatly wanted that goal. He scored 2 very good goals at WBA, especially the 2nd was great and shows what he can do. And you can’t say “well it’s just WBA”…a chance is a chance no matter what team.

Think Wenger just needs to have a chat and tell him to relax and the goals will come for him eventually. He gets too much stick from the fans and that only adds pressure on him. Once he gets a couple of goals at the Emirates (especially there!) I think things will start to ease up for him. He played very well overall yesterday but it’s when he is to put away the chances that he wants to much that he misses the chances given to him. Mark my words, if we sell him to another PL club, no doubt he will come back and haunt us! No, keep him…maybe loan him out to a decent PL club next season so he gets to play week in week out.

  7. the problem is the people that boo are apparently the rich neutrals that eat there prawn sandwiches and just want to be entertained. Bring back the real fans, i agree also with Daniel booing or jeering will put alot of pressure on ones shoulders so get behind Bendtner, hes got 11 this season and should have had more yes but in a way it is a positive sign that he knows where to be.

  8. apart from scoring that day, evrything else he did was great. Liked all his classy passes, little turns and runs. he is a fantastic player, and sometimes on somedays, that just happens to players. and if it happens on day, then its gonna be very hard to score. i wish him well and wanna see him in the gunners for a long time.
    good luck young man.
    gunner for life!

  9. Bendtner sucks

Please please please can we sell Bendtner……..sure he is a reasonable footballer but anyone with half a brain knows he is not top 4 premiership standard. He is not good enough for Arsenal. plain and simple.

Also agree booing is out of order, that’s not fair on anybody, they are professionals trying to do a job and the brainless mob jeering is partly out of jealously.

  10. Will you have the same opinion if he scored the winner in CL final ???????
