Many expected Nicklas Bendtner not to feature tonight, but the young Dane carrying a little knock to the knee, he was not 100% fit so he had to settle for a place on the bench. Danish manager Olsen sent Nicklas to warm up in the 20th minute as Daniel Jensen was limping heavily.

Leon Andreasen picked up the ball from about 25 yards out and shot towards the Albanian goal it swerved in midair and caught out the goalkeeper it was 1-0 to the Dane’s. Minutes later there was more smiles on the faces of the fans. Local boy Nicklas Bendtner was introduced to a loud cheer, he would operate on the left wing position and looked dangerous as he cut in on his right foot.

Within minutes, Bendtner showed his presence on the pitch collecting it on the left, cutting in and whipping a dangerous cross across the face of goal which S-Larsen or Rommedahl couldn’t make contact with. Bendtner again got the ball on the left before cutting in and fizzing a shot just wide of the right hand post, he was looking very lively. The second goal came as Rommedahl picked up the ball on the right squaring it for Larsen to tap it in, it was 2-0 to the Dane’s in Copenhagen.

  1. I’m so glad to see him come back early. At first, I thought that he missed the Wednesday’s game as well as the game aaginst Mancit!! He played in the second half, right?

  2. I guess they’ll have to Bendtner tomorrow against Man City with Adebayor since RVP and Eduardo are both injured.

    Should be interesting :-/
