Bendtner Out Of Tonights Denmark Friendly With Minor Setback & Quotes Being Blown Out Of Proportion

Nicklas Bendtner has suffered a little setback in his battle with the groin injury that sidelined him for 3-4 months, post South Africa. So he will miss tonights international in Aahurus against the Czechs. Bendtner was originally ment to play in this fixture, but there was a little mis communication between Arsenal and Denmark so the player had to give his apoligies later than expected to the camp.

Morten Olsen said . . .

It is a misunderstanding between the club and him where he thinks the club gives us the message.
Nicklas has received a setback with the groin injury that has now plagued him for over a year. It is unfortunate and obviously allows the match against the Czech Republic slightly different perspectives – it had in any case been nice for Bendtner, Arsenal and Denmark that he could get playing time in the international match.
Moving on to the interview where Bendtner talked about his near future, I think personally the quotes where blown way out of proportion by the Press. No player wants to be on the bench, Nicklas made that clear but still stated his priority is still crystal clear he wants to play for Arsenal, the club his been with since he was 16 years.
