NB52 Suprised No Danish Clubs Picked Lindgaard Before Man Utd
There will be another Danish star in the top four this January, alongside Nicklas Bendtner in Arsenal, there will now be Danish keeper Anders Lindgaard who is signing for Man Utd. Bendtner explained he was suprised that none of the big Danish clubs picked up on the keeper who was playing for Aalesund a small side from Norway before European/English giants Man Utd.
Bendtner went on to say . . .
It’s funny because I never saw Anders Lindegaard play. But I’ve heard from friends in the national team that he has done very, very good indeed, that he should actually be quite a super goalkeeper.
It’s strange that Anders Lindegaard pops up in this way, when he is not young, but someone in Danish football must have it a little strange. Not just in OB but also in other Danish clubs, since there was not anybody who took him. For he must accommodate something that is not so at home in Denmark, when a club like Manchester United buys him a large sum from a small club in Norway.
Nicklas Bendtner has only started 5 games this season for The Gunners’, he was injured for the first couple of months but since has 4 goals in 5 starts which is impressive tally considering playing time… Hopefully he can get more starts in the coming games, Arsenal entertain Manchester City @ Emirates on Wednesday evening which will be a crucial game for Arsenal’s quest in the title race. Man City currently sit in 2nd and Arsenal 3rd but The Gunners’ have a game in hand on the Sky Blues.
