Highlight Of The Season – *Video*

Nicklas Bendtner had a somewhat frustrating year in the Red n’ White of The Gunners’ strip, but also had some good moments in the 10-11 season. Things started gloomy for the Big Dane having been carrying a groin injury from the previous season and playing on painkillers NB went to the World Cup and the injury got worse from there he finally made his Arsenal injury comeback 3 months into the season coming on a late sub against Birmingham City @ Emirates. NB was used as a right winger for much of his time this campaign, he could do a job their but was much more dangerous in the Centre or even on the Left where he can cut infield using his good turn of pace and dribbling.

I think some people see NB in the wrong way in the Premier League, some may think he is just a ” target-man ” but he is so much more than that. Despite being big and strong he has very good technique and here in his highlight of the season shows what he is all about. Bendtner got 9 goals overall this season and chipped in with a good few assists. I’ve noticed some supporters in England like to mock NB, whether its a section of Arsenal fans or rival fans, but they will come a time where they’ll have to eat their words because there is no doubt what talent this guy has got albeit if its in England,Italy, Germany or Spain.

  1. It’s a brilliant goal and it really shows what Nick is capable of doing. I truly belive that he could have become a very good player at Arsenal had he gotten a proper run of games in the team. Unfortently the 4-3-3 system doesn’t work for him here as Robin was brilliant when fit! Really think Wenger should have played him on the left more often than on the right though. As you say, he’s much more dangerous when he can cut in and finish. A very underrated player…
