Wenger – Nicklas Bendtner Still Has A Long Term Future At Arsenal After Season Long Loan To Serie A’s Juventus Is Finished
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who signed Nicklas Bendtner in 2004, still believes featured player N.B-52 can still succeed at Arsenal and in the Barclays Premier League. The Boss reckons a season in the tough league of Serie A will no doubt benefit Nicklas’ game because he says it can be very difficult for strikers.
Arsene Wenger on N.B –
It is not for nothing that I loaned him to Juventus. He is a talented player. There he will grow and then return to my team. I am convinced that a team like Juventus, in a very difficult league, especially for strikers, he can make the final leap in quality. ‘Don’t forget, he is a boy of 24 years. The right age to prove who he is. He is not short of talent – otherwise I would not have bought him at just 16-years-old. We believe in him and that is why we only gave him to Juventus on loan. I think he can resolve his problems with us and prove himself. We still believe in him.
It was clear to see N.B’s talent in his early days despite being very tall he had all the finesse and ability in the world. Only time will tell how he does in the cutthroat world of the Italian Serie A where football is almost a religion and taken very seriously.
